From Newtown, take the A489 Aberystwyth road. Maesmawr Hall is situated on the right, just before the turning to the village of Caersws and before the level crossing.

All old houses with the slightest respect claim to possess a ghost and Maesmawr Hall is no exception! Robin Drwg (Wicked Robin) is said to assume the form of a bull.

Now, in the old days of his freedom, Robin Drwg seems to have caused much mischief and alarm, but he was eventually overcome by the united efforts of seven parsons of undoubted ability and laid in Llyn Tarw (the Bull's Pool).

Whether the endeavours of the worthy gentlemen were successful or not is a matter of conjecture!
